01 / THE WORK BEHIND THE WORK

Modernization measured against explicit functional acceptance evidence.

A new interface or framework is not proof that a migration succeeded. Evolve is being explored around repeatable observations, authorized changes, and regression evidence that shows which important behaviors were preserved.

Where it stands

The source foundation is imported. The MRGI modernization workflow is exploratory; sandbox guarantees and end-to-end equivalence testing are not yet validated.

02 / THE PLANNED TOOLKIT

Built around
your real work.

The intended Evolve experience.
Feature availability will be confirmed before release.

  1. 01

    Define an authorized inspection scope

  2. 02

    Capture expected application behavior

  3. 03

    Prepare isolated modernization work

  4. 04

    Draft migration changes for review

  5. 05

    Compare functional regression results

  6. 06

Package evidence for an engineering decision

A CLOSER LOOK / FEATURE DESIGN

How Evolve
is intended to work.

Explore the behavior behind the feature names: what the product would do, and what the reviewer would still need to decide.

01Authorization and acceptance scope

Intended behavior

An assessment would record what software and resources may be inspected, which behaviors matter, and what outputs count as acceptable.

What to inspect

Confirm ownership or authorization before accessing files, services, or proprietary behavior.

02Constrained modernization

Intended behavior

Changes would be prepared in a workspace with explicit resource and execution limits. Agent actions would produce reviewable changes rather than unrestricted production access.

What to inspect

Validate the isolation boundary and treat inspected software and generated changes as untrusted.

03Evidence-based regression decisions

Intended behavior

A comparison would preserve the expected behavior, observed result, and test context. Review would distinguish accepted differences from unresolved regressions.

What to inspect

A finite test set can miss behavior; a passing report is not proof of complete equivalence.

03 / THE MRGI DIRECTION

Where we’re taking Evolve.

Three product-specific priorities shaping the proposed MRGI experience.

01

Acceptance before transformation

Identify the workflows and outputs that matter before changing the implementation. Evaluate progress against explicit expectations.

02

A constrained modernization workspace

Plan isolated execution with explicit file and network permissions. Isolation needs independent validation before handling untrusted software.

03

Evidence for the migration decision

Compare observable behavior across versions and surface regressions. A passing sample is not a proof of full software equivalence.

These are development goals, not claims of shipped features or market exclusivity. AI, local operation, and automation are shared foundations—not the entire product distinction.

04 / BETTER CONNECTED

A next step
for every good idea.

Receive approved Interface specifications, preserve test evidence in Evidence, and communicate the decision in Present.

  1. 01

    Scope

Confirm authorization and record expected behavior.

  2. 02

    Modernize

Prepare changes in a constrained development workspace.

  3. 03

    Compare

Review regression evidence before accepting the migration.

Assistance with a defined role.

Planned agents can propose code changes within the authorized scope. Tests, permissions, and human review govern acceptance; no autonomous production deployment is implied.

Cross-app access is planned around selected resources and explicit consent. Ordinary local editing should not require uploading your files.

BUILT ON OPEN-SOURCE FOUNDATIONS

Inspection engines, an evidence ledger, rebuild loops, CLI/MCP, and optional external agents exist in Craft Anything. Authorized, measured modernization is the proposed product direction. Read the source credits ↗
