Review a source update. Keep the narrative.

Switch between sample data versions and accept the new table value into a report without changing its written conclusion.

Synthetic inputs. Local computation. No uploads.

This example updates a synthetic report field. It does not edit DOCX files or verify the meaning of a written claim.

01 / THE WORK BEHIND THE WORK

Living reports linked to approved evidence and data snapshots.

Reports change as the underlying work evolves. Author is being designed to preserve the link between each important passage, its supporting source, and the exact table version the reviewer saw.

Where it stands

The source foundation is imported. A shared prototype can generate a report; the living editor, synchronization, and approval interface are planned.

02 / THE PLANNED TOOLKIT

Built around
your real work.

The intended Author experience.
Feature availability will be confirmed before release.

  1. 01

    Compose structured, rich-text reports

  2. 02

    Work with comments and revisions

  3. 03

    Link passages to supporting evidence

  4. 04

    Insert approved tables and figures

  5. 05

    Review changes to linked sources

  6. 06

    Prepare approved sections for presentation

A CLOSER LOOK / FEATURE DESIGN

How Author
is intended to work.

Explore the behavior behind the feature names: what the product would do, and what the reviewer would still need to decide.

01Evidence-linked passages

Intended behavior

A passage would point to a source item and version, optionally with a page or row reference. Reviewers could inspect the selected basis alongside the claim.

What to inspect

Confirm that the cited material supports the claim; a link is not a factual verification.

02Approved table synchronization

Intended behavior

A linked table would retain its snapshot identity. When a newer approved version exists, Author would present a proposed change rather than refresh published content silently.

What to inspect

Check whether new values invalidate the surrounding interpretation, even if the table update is mechanically correct.

03Section-level approval

Intended behavior

Report sections would carry a review state and version so a presentation or evidence packet can reference exactly the material that was approved.

What to inspect

Edits after approval should invalidate or supersede that approval, with clear version context.

03 / THE MRGI DIRECTION

Where we’re taking Author.

Three product-specific priorities shaping the proposed MRGI experience.

01

References that stay attached

Place the supporting source beside the claim, with the source version recorded. Help reviewers see the basis for a statement without hunting through folders.

02

Updates that ask before replacing

Compare an updated approved table with the version in your report. Accept the new snapshot deliberately and retain revision context.

03

Approval that travels with the narrative

Connect reviewed report sections to presentation and evidence workflows, so downstream work starts from material the team has actually approved.

These are development goals, not claims of shipped features or market exclusivity. AI, local operation, and automation are shared foundations—not the entire product distinction.

04 / BETTER CONNECTED

A next step
for every good idea.

Bring Grid snapshots and Evidence sources into the report, then share approved sections with Present.

  1. 01

    Draft

Start a report and select its supporting sources.

  2. 02

    Review

Resolve changes, references, and table versions.

  3. 03

    Reuse

Send approved sections to Present and Evidence.

Assistance with a defined role.

Planned drafting and summarization assistance is tied to selected references. Generated statements still need human verification and citation review.

Cross-app access is planned around selected resources and explicit consent. Ordinary local editing should not require uploading your files.

BUILT ON OPEN-SOURCE FOUNDATIONS

Rich document models, bibliography, revisions, comments, and DOCX reading/writing exist in WordCraft. MRGI is proposing an evidence-bound report workflow around those foundations. Read the source credits ↗
